Steer LLC ("Steer") builds CapacityBook and operates steerlaboratories.com. We are committed to handling your information honestly and carefully.

What we collect

Account data (name, email, company, role), profile information you choose to share, and product usage data necessary to operate the service. Payment information is collected by Stripe; we never store full card numbers.

How we use it

To run the product, support you, send transactional email, prevent abuse, and improve the service. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.

Contacts you import

The CapacityBook mobile app lets you import contacts from your device to build your carrier directory. Contact access is optional and only happens after you agree in the app. Only the contacts you explicitly select (name, phone number, email address, and company) are uploaded to our servers, where they are stored as carrier contacts in your private directory. Imported contacts are visible only to your account, are used solely to provide the carrier-directory feature, are never sold or shared, and can be edited or deleted by you at any time inside the app.

Sub-processors

We use a small number of vetted third-party providers to operate the service. The categories below cover everything we rely on; a current list of named providers is available on written request to [email protected].

• Payment processing. Subscription billing, card tokenisation, and invoicing.
• Transactional email delivery. Account verification, receipts, and product notifications.
• Cloud infrastructure. Compute, storage, networking, and managed databases that host the service.
• Map and geospatial data. Lane and routing visualisations inside CapacityBook.

Each provider is bound by their own data-protection terms and signs a data processing agreement with Steer.
